Environmental Services

Programs: Conservation

Environmental Services trains young adults, age 18 – 25, to protect and maintain the urban environment throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Youth learn about conservation and preservation, including restoration of watersheds, parks, open spaces, natural habitats and ecosystems. Corpsmembers acquire skills in building trails, controlling erosion, identifying native plants, planting trees, and learn how to remove invasive non-native plants. While enrolled in Environmental Services learning valuable skills, youth continue to further their education through earning their high school diploma or by taking college courses at their local community college.
