ON THE JOB TRAINING

Training Today for the Jobs of Tomorrow

Receive on-the-job training, paid work experience, and environmental education through their urban greening and environmental service projects. 

Working in crews that are dispatched across the greater SGV area, you learn to restore habitats, clean alleys, recycle, build parks and community gardens, help with fire prevention, plant trees, refurbish trails, rescue food waste, build affordable housing, and so much more. 

If you’re between the ages of 18-24, consider the Corps

  • Get on-the-job training and paid work experience, learn about the environment, develop your skills, and utilize support services to explore your personal and professional development. 

  • Earn specialized work certificates, receive college or trade school scholarships, receive legal services, earn a driver’s license and even gain a high school diploma with our partner charter school.

  • Receive step-by-step support from our Corps Navigation team as well as post-program transition and alumni support.

  • We can help you choose your career path, get a job, go to college, or enroll in a trade.

Corps 2 Career 

Through our Corps-to-Career (C2C) department, we provide career and psychological counseling, life skills workshops, case management, certified trainings, and one-on-one assistance with resumes, job and college applications and job placement.

Support Services

The C2C staff also works collaboratively with 211 to assist corpsmembers in enrolling in CalFresh, CalWORKS, Medi-Cal, behavior health services, and earned income tax credit. C2C maintains strong employer partnerships to ensure Corpsmembers transition with jobs and the skills and certifications they need to succeed.
