Ready to make a real difference while gaining valuable skills? San Gabriel Valley Conservation Corps offers hands-on opportunities to serve your community, protect the environment, and build a strong foundation for your future.
Through meaningful service projects, we tackle environmental challenges like climate resilience and community sustainability -- working together to create lasting change across the San Gabriel Valley.
SGV Corps is designed for young adults ages 18-26 who are seeking paid work experience, job training, and educational pathways. The program provides the tools, support, and real-world experience needed to help participants grow personally and professionally while preparing for long-term success.
WE ARE SGVCORPS
Building Dreams, Transforming Lives

San Gabriel Valley Conservation Corps is dedicated to helping young adults achieve their maximum potential. Our programs equip corps members with valuable job skills and enable them to make a positive impact the community by engaging in environmental projects, construction, recycling, and other initiatives. We welcome you to join us in creating a brighter future for yourself here at the SGVCC.
SGVCC serves young people by helping them build a better future--
through education, job training, and leadership development-- so
they can transform their lives while making their communities and
the environment stronger.
OUR MISSION
CORE VALUES
Service
Give back, because helping others changes lives. Service isn’t just what we
do - it’s who we are. We rise by lifting others and create purpose through contribution.
Conservation
Protect our planet because nature is home. We care for the Earth with the same
intention we care for our communities - because both are worth preserving, restoring, and
loving.
Growth
Learn, evolve, and unlock your full potential. Growth means showing up for
yourself, challenging what’s possible, and choosing progress every single day.
Hope
Believe in yourself, your future, and what’s possible. Hope is more than a
feeling - it’s fuel. It drives change, builds resilience, and reminds us that no story is finished.
Leadership
Lead by example - and lift others as you climb. True leadership is built
on courage, integrity, and discipline. It’s having the bravery to take the first step, the
honesty to stay grounded, and the commitment to keep going - even when it’s hard.
WHAT SGVCC PROVIDES OUR YOUTH
SGVCC provides educational opportunities for students and Corpsmembers to earn a High School Diploma through our partnership with YouthBuild Charter School of California (YBSC). We nurture students’ aspirations and provide the opportunity for post-secondary education.
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE
We train corpsmembers to protect and maintain the urban environment throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Participants learn about conservation and preservation, including restoration of watersheds, parks, open spaces, natural habitats, and ecosystems.

VOLUNTEERING
SGVCC offers our students, corpsmembers, and community members opportunities to volunteer in a variety of areas. Volunteers are vital to the ongoing operation of EarthWorks Community Farm. We welcome all ages and skill levels to come by and lend a hand.
ADVOCACY
SGVCC has given thousands of underserved, low-income young adults the opportunity to improve themselves while improving their own community. While at the SGVCC, Corpsmembers are paired up with mentors that serve as advocates that help guide and navigate through life's challenges.
SUPPORT
We also provide service-learning opportunities as well as teach work ethic, teamwork, and essential life skills, through mentoring and leadership training.
We encourage healthy life choices through positive role-modeling and a variety of personal development education, including conflict resolution, substance abuse prevention, and responsible driving education. Lastly, we promote economic self-sufficiency through career assessment, employment development, and job placement and follow-up services.
